Hit and Miss!

This term I started a screen printing course at Putney school of Art.
Its all very hit and miss and so far we have only been allowed to do paper stencils so this is my first very basic print, an adaption of my London Bus Digital Print! Don't think a single one was perfect but I enjoyed the process and it was good to work with real paints  and inks for a change.

  2. This is lovely Tracy - I must admit, much as I love the crispness of Photoshopped/Illustrator images, I have a real soft spot for the imperfections of hand printed work. x

  3. Wow that's brilliant tracey. Sounds like fun, I've done some basic screen printing at college years ago but I would love to do a course one day. x

  5. I agree Tracey, your prints are fab. It's great to (re)discover new ways of doing stuff. Am personally addicted to the idea of screen printing on everything but am not brave enough to get my house or myself messy inbetween school drop off and pick up time! A college course sounds like a mighty fine idea xx

  6. That looks brilliant, screen printed images have that lovely 1950's look about them where the inks slightly overlap...I love it! I'd love to do a course in printing and textiles..must be such fun!

  7. These are great! Love how you've still manage to create those lovely layering effects we're used to seeing in your CAD work. Screen prints can sometimes be a bit 1 dimensional, but I love these! Inspiration indeed. X

  8. The prints are so cool! You are doing so well. Am taking a course as well, in project managament, am doing if whilst working, and it's sooo hard. Don't know if I pass (and frankly I don't understand it all either)
